FAQs: Personal Training in Acworth

Everything most people ask before their first session, answered straight.

Is the studio open?

Yes. Alloy Personal Training Acworth is now open at 3384 Cobb Pkwy NW, on Cobb Parkway in Acworth, Georgia. We're enrolling founding members through October 12: a limited group who get first pick of session times, priority onboarding, and our founders rate.

Is this program really designed for people my age and fitness level?

Yes. While our programs are primarily designed for adults 40 and over, we welcome members of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you're brand new to strength training or returning after time off, our expert coaches and supportive small-group format ensure you feel confident, safe, and empowered every step of the way.

What is the Starting Point Session and what can I expect during it?

Every member begins here: a no-pressure session where we assess how your body actually moves, talk through your goals and history, and map out a plan built around you. It's where you find out exactly what training with us will look like.

Do I have to be in shape already to join?

Not at all. Alloy is built for people who are starting out, starting over, or getting back into training after time away. We meet you where you are, with individualized coaching and programming tailored to your abilities, experience, and goals in every session.

What is the founders rate?

Our opening rate for founding members, available through October 12, 2026. It's the best rate the studio will ever offer, and it comes with first pick of session times and priority onboarding. We'll walk you through the details at your Starting Point Session.

Is Alloy a good fit if I'm over 60?

Yes. Alloy's small group format was built for adults 40 and over, and that includes members well into their 60s and 70s. Your coach scales every movement to your body, balance and stability work is built into your program, and the group is small enough that nothing gets missed. If you're managing a health condition, bring your doctor's guidance to your Starting Point Session and we'll build around it.

What is longevity training?

Training that builds the strength, mobility, balance, and stamina you need to stay active and independent for decades, not just for the next 12 weeks. At Alloy, that means progressive strength work, attention to how you move, and habits that hold up in real life, coached in a small group and tracked with monthly InBody scans.

What is an InBody Scan and why is it helpful?

The InBody Scan is a quick, non-invasive assessment that measures body composition, including muscle mass, body fat, and water balance. It provides a more complete picture than weight alone and helps us make personalized recommendations based on your body composition and goals.

Do I get a meal plan?

No, and that's deliberate. Rather than promoting fad diets or restrictive meal plans, we focus on evidence-based nutrition strategies that fit your lifestyle and complement your strength training program. And it doesn't end after an initial conversation: members receive ongoing nutrition coaching throughout their membership.

How often will I get scanned?

Your first InBody scan happens at your Starting Point Session, and scans are updated every 30 days in your accountability session. Monthly is frequent enough to catch real change and adjust your program, without chasing normal week-to-week noise.

What makes Alloy different from other gyms or trainers?

Unlike crowded classes or impersonal gyms, Alloy offers expert-led small group personal training in a welcoming, age-appropriate environment. You'll get individualized attention, accountability, and real results, without feeling like you're on your own.

Will I be working out in a big group or getting personal attention?

Our sessions are limited to 6 people per coach, so you'll always get plenty of individual attention throughout the session, all while gaining motivation and support from other folks in the session!

I have an old injury (bad knee, shoulder, back). Can I still train at Alloy?

Yes, in most cases. We learn your history during your Starting Point Session and build modifications directly into your program, so you train hard where you can and smart where you need to.

What does a typical session look like?

Every session is about 55 minutes, coach-led from start to finish. You'll follow a program designed for your body: a guided warm-up, strength training scaled to your level, and coaching to keep you safe. No wandering around a gym floor wondering what to do next.

How much does it cost?

Membership depends on how often you train, and the right frequency depends on your goals, which is exactly what we work out together in your Starting Point Session. We'll give you straightforward pricing there, with no pressure and no games.

Is this like CrossFit or a bootcamp?

No. There are no competitions, no whiteboard leaderboards, and no pushing through pain. Alloy is structured strength training with a coach who knows your name and your limits, in groups small enough that nothing gets missed.
